Called to Serve Through Music

Dr. James B. Brown III is a gospel saxophonist, minister and worshipper whose ministry is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Scripture, worship, and music.

Called to Serve Through Music

The defining moment of my life came when I renewed my relationship with Jesus Christ. That decision transformed not only my heart but also the direction of my music.
After years of performing jazz and R&B, God called me to dedicate my musical gifts exclusively to His service.
Since then, my mission has been to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music and Scripture.

Every Note Offered in Worship

My music has become more than a performance-it is a ministry. Every note I play is offered as an expression of worship and a testimony to God’s grace and faithfulness.
My desire is to encourage believers, inspire hope, and point people to the saving love of Jesus Christ.
"He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God."
Psalm 40:3

Serving Churches Through Worship

Throughout my ministry, I have had the privilege of ministering across California, including San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco and various cities on the East Coast.
Every opportunity reminds me that music is one of God’s greatest gifts for encouraging His people and proclaiming the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Many of my musical selections can be presented with your church choir, allowing your congregation to become an active part of the worship experience.
"Worship the LORD in the splendour of holiness."
Psalm 29:2

Serving the Senior Community

I enjoy and cherish every opportunity to minister in churches and at church events. However, my greatest joy and deepest calling is serving the senior community.
I regularly visit senior centers, nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities to minister to those who are often unable to attend church services.
During these visits, I share Gospel music, the reading of God’s Word, and messages of hope found in Scripture.
"Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you."
Isaiah 46:4

Serving Christ Through Music

Whenever the opportunity presents itself, I invite those who have not yet trusted Christ to receive Him as their Lord and Savior.
Serving Christ through music is not simply what I do—it is the calling God has placed on my life.
My prayer is that every note I play and every Scripture I share will glorify God, encourage His people, and lead others into a deeper relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I consider this ministry my way of giving back to God the gifts and talents He has entrusted to me.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly."
Colossians 3:16
